Development of the Imessouane Tourist Area
90 km north of Agadir, the tourist investment zone of Imessouane covers a total area of 18 hectares. With a view to enhancing the value of this exceptional site—renowned for its iconic surf spots, “La Baie,” “Le Reef,” and “La Cathédrale,” as well as its artisanal fishing village—a development concept was designed upstream by SDR Tourisme Souss Massa, taking into account the site’s landscape, environmental, and territorial specificities.
This concept provides for the integration of accommodation infrastructure, dining spaces, as well as sports and cultural facilities, with the aim of strengthening the site’s attractiveness and ensuring a sustained year-round animation dynamic.
The Imessouane site includes the development of 25 projects, providing a capacity of more than 1,000 beds and 700 dining seats. The planned infrastructure includes:
- 12 tourist accommodation projects;
- 11 catering and entertainment projects;
- Cultural and sports facilities;
- A parking area.
The SDR Tourisme Souss Massa has already initiated the external development works. The earthworks and hydraulic engineering works were completed in 2025.
