Visit of a UNESCO delegation focused on the cultural heritage of Souss Massa

SDRT – Souss Massa Region welcomed a UNESCO delegation chaired by Mr. Chahraf AHMMED, Director of the UNESCO Regional Office for the Maghreb, as part of a visit dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the region’s heritage.

Following a working session held at the headquarters of SDRT – Souss Massa Region, in the presence of institutional partners representing the Souss Massa Regional Council and the Regional Directorate of Culture, the delegation conducted a field visit to the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella and the collective granary of Ighir Ifrane in Chtouka Ait Baha.

This visit is part of a strengthened cooperation dynamic aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the cultural heritage of the Souss-Massa region.
