For now, visits will be limited to the <strong data-start=\"391\" data-end=\"429\">exterior areas around the ramparts<\/strong>, as the interior of the fortress remains under construction for a few more months (completion of decking, signage, etc.). As for the restaurants, they will become operational once a manager is appointed through an <strong data-start=\"644\" data-end=\"688\">ongoing Call for Expressions of Interest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"950\">It is worth noting that the <strong data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"798\">rehabilitation and redevelopment project of Agadir Oufella (Agadir-Ighir)<\/strong> is part of the <strong data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"862\">Agadir Urban Development Program (2020\u20132024)<\/strong> and was entrusted to SDR Tourisme Souss Massa as the delegated contracting authority.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"952\" data-end=\"1145\">Despite the repercussions of the <strong data-start=\"985\" data-end=\"1006\">COVID-19 pandemic<\/strong>\u2014notably the impact on the pace of work and the supply of imported raw materials\u2014progress has remained aligned with the planned schedule.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1232\">The <strong data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1186\">nearly completed exterior works<\/strong> around the Agadir Oufella ramparts include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1233\" data-end=\"1954\">\n<li data-start=\"1233\" data-end=\"1347\">\n<p data-start=\"1235\" data-end=\"1347\">Restoration and reconstruction of walls according to precise scientific standards and pre-1960 earthquake data<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1348\" data-end=\"1430\">\n<p data-start=\"1350\" data-end=\"1430\">Restoration, reinforcement, and strengthening of the Kasbah\u2019s defensive towers<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1431\" data-end=\"1590\">\n<p data-start=\"1433\" data-end=\"1590\">Construction of a platform at the Kasbah\u2019s level to house service facilities: restaurants, a tourist information office, security services, restrooms, etc.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1591\" data-end=\"1670\">\n<p data-start=\"1593\" data-end=\"1670\">Development of a lower-level platform for visitor reception and orientation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1671\" data-end=\"1738\">\n<p data-start=\"1673\" data-end=\"1738\">Rehabilitation of pedestrian pathways leading to Agadir Oufella<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1739\" data-end=\"1801\">\n<p data-start=\"1741\" data-end=\"1801\">Lighting of the East and South walls and the main entrance<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1802\" data-end=\"1868\">\n<p data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"1868\">Installation of exterior informational and directional signage<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1869\" data-end=\"1954\">\n<p data-start=\"1871\" data-end=\"1954\">Landscaping of surrounding areas with <strong data-start=\"1909\" data-end=\"1952\">argan trees and companion plant species<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1956\" data-end=\"1991\"><strong data-start=\"1956\" data-end=\"1985\">Meanwhile, work continues<\/strong> on:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"2277\">\n<li data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"2155\">\n<p data-start=\"1994\" data-end=\"2155\">Installation of a wooden walkway (already over 85% complete), allowing visitors to explore the <strong data-start=\"2089\" data-end=\"2110\">Kasbah\u2019s interior<\/strong> following the original pre-earthquake path<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2156\" data-end=\"2206\">\n<p data-start=\"2158\" data-end=\"2206\">Finalizing lighting across the entire fortress<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2207\" data-end=\"2242\">\n<p data-start=\"2209\" data-end=\"2242\">Installing <strong data-start=\"2220\" data-end=\"2240\">interior signage<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2243\" data-end=\"2277\">\n<p data-start=\"2245\" data-end=\"2277\">Completing <strong data-start=\"2256\" data-end=\"2275\">plantation work<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1114,"template":"","class_list":["post-3712","actualites","type-actualites","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/sdrtourisme-sm.ma\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/actualites\/3712","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/sdrtourisme-sm.ma\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/actualites"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/sdrtourisme-sm.ma\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/actualites"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sdrtourisme-sm.ma\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1114"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/sdrtourisme-sm.ma\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3712"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
