Project Manager – Audit and Management Control

As part of its human capital strengthening policy, the Souss Massa Regional Tourism Development Company (SDR) is recruiting for the following position:

Project Manager – Audit and Management Control


Mission – Internal Audit Focus:

  • Promote an effective internal control environment within SDR Tourisme Souss Massa to ensure development objectives are met in compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Continuously monitor the internal control system and ensure its coherence across the various departments of SDR Tourisme.
  • Contribute to the updating of the procedures manual.
  • Participate in the development of a risk map for SDR Tourisme Souss Massa in accordance with current regulations and frameworks.
  • Develop and implement the (annual or multi-year) audit program in line with the directives of SDR Tourisme’s Audit Committee.
  • Conduct ad hoc audit missions upon management’s request to support operational departments.
  • Organize the intervention of the Audit Committee within a comprehensive and complementary methodological approach.
  • Monitor the implementation of action plans and follow up on recommendations resulting from internal/external audit missions.
  • Prepare periodic reports related to the functioning of audited processes.
  • Verify the compliance of authorizations and administrative and budgetary decisions with current regulations.
  • Audit the awarding, commitment, and execution of the company’s expenditures.
  • Contribute to defining the objectives of each entity in alignment with the company’s strategic direction and its annual and multi-year action plans.

Mission – Management Control Focus:

  • Implement a performance management and monitoring system for objectives and projects within SDR Tourisme Souss Massa.
  • Prepare summary reports and evaluation documents on the progress of objectives and projects across technical, administrative, accounting, and financial aspects.
  • Lead the budgeting process through coordination with various departments and ensure budget control.
  • Produce budget summary documents, cash flow reports, and progress reports.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual and semi-annual financial statements.
  • Participate in the implementation of information systems.
  • Set up and operate an analytical accounting system.
  • Ensure smooth operation of closing and analytical reporting processes.

Required Skills:

Technical & Operational Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of internal audit standards and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in audit planning and execution methodologies.
  • Mastery of tools for dashboards, indicator analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in budgetary, general, and analytical accounting.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
