Access to the Souss-Massa National Park

Established in 1991, the Souss-Massa National Park covers 33,800 hectares along the Atlantic coast, stretching from Agadir in the north to Aglou in the south. This protected area, rich in ecological diversity, forms a coastal strip 65 kilometers long and approximately 5 kilometers wide. It includes two wetlands that serve as sanctuaries for migratory birds and two reserves dedicated to the acclimatization of various animal species.

In addition to its ecological richness, the park is a major tourist attraction, drawing visitors and nature enthusiasts with its diverse landscapes, unique fauna, and varied flora.

The Souss-Massa National Park plays a key role in promoting sustainable tourism in the region. By attracting visitors interested in nature, biodiversity, and ecotourism, it contributes to local economic development while raising awareness of environmental protection.

To improve tourist access to this internationally renowned reserve, SDRT Souss-Massa financed and completed the construction of more than 7.5 kilometers of roads leading to the park’s two entrances.
