La Médina d’Agadir

La Médina d’Agadir

Situated in the southwest of Agadir, La Médina d’Agadir, also referred to as Medina Polizzi, stands as a remarkable achievement. Designed by Italian architect Beato Polizzi in 1992, the Medina spans an area of 4.6 hectares. It is a miniature Medina constructed utilizing traditional methods inspired by ancestral designs, predominantly featuring materials sourced from the Souss Massa region.

La Médina d’Agadir presents a variety of activities beyond mere visitation, encompassing Moroccan cuisine, artisan shops, workshops, event spaces, cultural activities, children’s play areas, and a walking circuit within a eucalyptus forest.

Since 2019, the Souss Massa Region has acquired La Médina d’Agadir through the SDR Tourisme Souss-Massa, which has taken charge of its management with the vision of establishing it as a center for culture and crafts.
