Steering Committee Meeting – Agadir Urban Development Plan 2020–2024

On February 4, 2023, the Regional Development Company (SDR) Tourisme Souss Massa took part in the steering committee meeting for the Agadir Urban Development Plan (PDU) 2020–2024, chaired by the Wali of the Souss Massa Region, Mr. Ahmed Hajji. This key meeting was attended by several high-profile figures, including the President of the Agadir Municipality, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, the President of the Souss Massa Region, Mr. Karim Achengli, and other committee members.

Following the official opening speeches, the delegated project owners were invited to present the progress of the projects listed under the Agadir PDU 2020–2024. SDR Tourisme Souss Massa presented the projects under its responsibility, including:

  • The rehabilitation and heritage enhancement of the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella

  • The creation of a Tourist Information Center and an administrative complex at Agadir beach

  • Its contribution to defining the management models for several cultural and sports projects under the PDU

The presentation by SDR Tourisme Souss Massa stood out during the meeting, highlighting the critical importance of these projects for the urban development of Agadir and the surrounding region.
