Signing of Two Agreements Aimed at Tourism Development North of Agadir

Taghazout, Friday, April 9, 2021 – Two agreements were signed to promote tourism development in the northern area of Agadir.

1. Tourist development of the “Anchor Point” zone, covering 32 hectares. The signatory parties are:

  • The Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests

  • The Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport, and Social Economy

  • The Wilaya of the Souss-Massa Region

  • The Souss Massa Regional Council

  • The Commune of Taghazout

  • The Moroccan Tourism Engineering Company (SMIT)

  • The Souss Massa Regional Investment Center (CRI)

  • The SDR Tourisme Souss Massa

2. Development of the Taghazout Corniche/Promenade, with the following signatory parties:

  • The Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests

  • The Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport, and Social Economy

  • The Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics, and Water

  • The Ministry of National Territory Planning, Urban Planning, Housing, and City Policy

  • The Souss Massa Regional Council

  • The Commune of Taghazout

  • The Central Atlantic Maritime Chamber

  • The Souss Massa Regional Investment Center

  • The SDR Tourisme Souss Massa

On this occasion, the attendees — led by Mr. Aziz Akhannouch and Ms. Nadia Fettah Alaoui — followed a presentation delivered by Mr. Abdelkrim Azenfar, Director General of SDR Tourisme Souss Massa, who is in charge of the technical studies and implementation of both projects.
