Nostalgia, Emotions of the Past at the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella

From July 23 to 27, 2025, the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella hosted the second edition of the immersive cultural show “Nostalgia, Emotions of the Past”, a landmark event held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

This edition brought together a large audience along with many institutional figures, including the Head of Government and President of the Agadir Communal Council, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, the Wali of the Souss-Massa Region and Governor of the Agadir Ida-Outanane Prefecture, Mr. Said Amzazi, and the President of the Regional Council, Mr. Karim Achengli.

Through a series of live performances, historical reenactments, and scenographic pathways, the event allowed the public to dive into the major milestones of the Kasbah’s history, shedding light on the civilizations that shaped this emblematic site. As a true historical fresco, Nostalgia also celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the Souss-Massa region, highlighting both its tangible and intangible legacy.

With this second edition, the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella confirms its central role in the cultural and tourist appeal of the city, while strengthening the emotional bond between the local population and their collective memory.
