Meeting of the Board of Directors of SDR Tourisme Souss Massa

The Souss Massa Regional Tourism Development Company held its Board of Directors meeting on March 19, 2024, at the headquarters of the Regional Wilaya, under the chairmanship of Mr. Saaïd Amzazi, Wali of the Souss Massa region, and in the presence of the Minister of Tourism as well as several regional officials. The Wali highlighted the positive performance of the tourism sector in 2023 at both the national and regional levels, while emphasizing the progress made in developing the regional tourism plan as part of the implementation of the strategic roadmap (2023–2030) and the projects included in the Regional Development Program.

The company presented the main achievements of 2023, including the reopening of the Agadir Oufella Kasbah, the development of the Tourist Information Center, progress in hotel rehabilitation and rural tourism projects, as well as the launch of major investment projects such as the Imsouane tourism unit and the development of the Taghazout seafront promenade. It also continued its efforts in tourism promotion through digital kiosks and online platforms, in addition to creating 120 new products inspired by the region’s rich craftsmanship. At the close of the meeting, the board unanimously approved the 2023 material and financial report, along with the 2024 action plan and budget.
